Details:
Our first stop is at Aphrodite Rock known as “Petra Tou Romiou”, a rock off the shore that has been regarded since ancient times as the birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love. The tour continues through Yeroskipou Village famous for the Cyprus Delights known as ‘Loukoumia’ and the village square.
We continue following the north coast of Paphos passing Polis and Latchi harbor to reach the Baths of Aphrodite, a natural pool surrounded by greenery which lies at the end of a small nature trail. As its name suggests, the grotto is where the Goddess of Love is reputed to have bathed. There will follow free time for lunch and swimming. For fun, lovers have the chance to enjoy a 20 minutes donkey ride! (Cost not included in the price).
We return to Paphos via the village of Tsada stopping at Aphrodite’s Rock Brewing, a small craft brewery where you will taste full-flavored locally handcrafted “Island Beers” and “Artisan Ales”.
Know More About Cyprus:
This island has a grand history. Coveted by empires across the centuries, Cyprus' enviable position has made it a prized possession for all who rose to power in the Eastern Mediterranean. Today, people still flock here, but it's now to seek out the island's beaches rather than to gain power and glory.
For travelers interested in more than sand and sun, you're in for a treat, as Cyprus has archaeological sites, fine Byzantine churches, monasteries, and museums galore among its historic tourist attractions. It's also a wonderful place to go hiking, with an incredible wealth of unique flora and fauna. Best of all, it's so small that you can easily base yourself in one town and head out on sightseeing day trips from there.
