Lefkara is a picturesque village known for its lace, the famous “lefkaritika” lace, and for its silverware. Legend has it that Leonardo da Vinci himself came here and bought an altar cloth of the traditional lace, which he donated to the cathedral of Milan. The village maintains its traditional architecture with its picturesque stone houses. In the village one can visit the Museum of Traditional Embroidery & Silversmithing, the church of the Holy Cross and the chapel of the Archangel Michael.
